Lauren Lemons is a compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) from Cincinnati, Ohio, with a great passion for children and education! Before starting her career, Lauren’s passion for medicine began as a personal one– while caring for her own family in various capacities through their medical journeys. Her experience in medicine began early on as a high school volunteer within the Emergency Department. She would then go on to pursue her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a minor in Global Public Health, from The Ohio State University. Lauren would then gain valuable experience as a certified nursing assistant for over 4 years, in areas including geriatric psychiatry and critical care, before then attending Duke University School of Medicine’s Physician Assistant Program.
Her preparation to caring for others has been well shaped, but she is proud to say many of her greatest teaching moments came during her most recent job as a substitute teacher for the Cincinnati Public School System. As a substitute teacher–prior to practicing as a PA–she enjoyed working with children from preschool age to high school in continuing to reach their developmental milestones. While in professional school, Lauren would be recognized as a National Health Scholar- a future provider with a focus in primary care to underserved communities. She is excited to meet all the patients and new families at CHC Waldorf and is eagerly looking forward to getting to know everyone!
